I love stir fry but sometimes the steak turns out tough. I tried something new and it turned out amazing.
Take 1 1/2 lbs steak already cut for stir fry and toss it in the slow cooker, along with one cup beef broth and 1/2 tsp garlic powder. Cook on high for 4 hours. Take 2 cups chopped broccoli and 1/2 cup carrots, thinly sliced, and blanch them. In a small bowl, mix 1 1/2 tbsp chicken broth, 1 tbsp soy sauce 1/2 tsp cornstarch and 1/4 sweetener of choice (I used Splenda). In a 10″ skillet, heat a little olive oil, add prepared vegetables, stirring frequently until veggies are crisp tender. Add sauce and steak, continue cooking for a few minutes until sauce thickens, about 2 or 3 minutes.
